First of all, we would like to thank all our members for the overwhelming and touching messages of support we have received over the last few days. These are extremely challenging times for us all. As you know we are a small independent business so it’s great to know we have the support of our members.
We’re sure you have questions around your billing and membership fees for the upcoming months, and we have decided to take the following action: All memberships have now been frozen, and this includes both direct debit and prepaid memberships.
Once we have an idea about when we’re reopening, we’ll be able to work out how to compensate you for January and will communicate this to you.
Members that choose to cancel their direct debits will unfortunately be subject to the terms of their membership agreement. So, we ask that you don't do this to avoid any unnecessary charges being levied against you. Instead, please contact the gym to discuss your membership.
We want to do our best to support our members during their fitness journey, so we have a limited amount of equipment that we’ll be lending to members during the lockdown period on a strictly first come, first served basis. However, government-imposed restrictions on access to the gym mean the logistics of how to do this still need to be confirmed by the local authority. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org, subject heading Equipment Loan During Lockdown 3 with your requests (please be specific about what you want to borrow but also realistic).
